The shape of the problem.

Leadership had business questions that were a SQL query away, but only a handful of engineers could run them, and even they had to relearn the schema each time. Every question turned into a ticket and a wait, slowing real decisions. We wanted to shorten that loop without giving everyone raw warehouse access.
